Thank you for your interest to visit and learn more about the California State University (CSU) Maritime Academy!

Located in a residential, 92-acre waterfront campus in Vallejo CA, Cal Maritime is one of the 23 campuses in the CSU system and the only state maritime academy on the west coast. Offering students seven specialized majors that combine applied technology, leadership development and global awareness, our graduates are well sought after in the industry of their choice.

Please review the following policies and submit your group tour request below:

  • A notification will be emailed confirming your visit in the next few days.
  • We can accommodate up to a strict maximum of 100 students per visit.
  • Cal Maritime expects visitors to demonstrate respect to cadets, faculty, staff, and native wildlife at all times.
  • Group leaders and adult chaperones must supervise and encourage appropriate behavior of students.
  • While in the simulators and aboard the TSGB, please do not touch any of the sensitive equipment.
  • Please feel free to take photos, ask questions, and leave meaningful feedback!

Overview

Group tours are approximate one hour and a half in length and include:

  • 15-minute admission overview session
  • 1-hour guided tour that includes:
    • Classrooms and laboratories
    • Residence life
    • Athletic facilities
    • Simulators
    • Training Ship Golden Bear

Please Note: Training Ship Golden Bear will not be available for tours November 1st - December 31st, 2023.
