The residential campus offers a rigorous, structured, hands-on, and global experience for all students. The only degree-granting state maritime academy on the west coast, Cal Poly Maritime Academy is not a military academy, though some students will be licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard as 3rd mates or 3rd assistant engineers. Offering seven undergraduate programs, Cal Poly Maritime Academy alumni are prepared for high-paying careers at sea and on land. Students study a diversity of subjects that highlight the economic engine comprised of the world’s waterways including international business and logistics, supply chain, maritime and environmental policy, marine science, and mechanical system and physical plant design and operation.

Tours are approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours long and are led by our students who will take you along the outer parts of our beautiful waterfront campus while sharing our history and stories about our institution. The tour will cover:
