Cal Maritime Campus Walking Tour Registration

This event registration page is for students and families who want to tour the campus. If you are a counselor or school representative please submit a group tour request form on the counselor website. 

 

Thank you for your interest to visit and learn more about the California State University Maritime Academy! 

The university is residential, academy-sized and offers a rigorous, structured, hands-on, and global experience for all students. The only degree-granting maritime academy on the west coast, Cal Maritime is not a military academy, though some students will be licensed by the Coast Guard as 3rd mates or 3rd assistant engineers. Offering 7 majors across three schools and 8 departments, Cal Maritime alumni are prepared for high-paying careers at sea and on-land. Students study a diversity of subjects that highlight the economic engine comprised of the world’s waterways including international business and logistics, supply chain, maritime and environmental policy, marine science, and mechanical system and physical plant design and operation.

Tours are approximately one hour long. Led by our amazing students (cadets) who will take you along the outer parts of our beautiful waterfront campus while sharing our history and anecdotes about our institution. The tour will cover:

  • Brief admission overview
  • Exploration of:
    • Classrooms
    • Laboratories
    • Simulators
    • Vessels
    • Academic buildings
    • Training Ship Golden Bear (when available)
